Altair Recognized as Top Workplace

Those of us who work at Altair are aware of what makes it so special: it is, of course, the people!  Altair has an innovation culture.  The talented people of the company hail from a wide variety of technology-focused disciplines and represent one of the most diverse communities on the planet.  We have a lot of ideas, and make it our business to bring them to market in support of our customers.

From an onsite health clinic to flexible work schedules and telecommuting, Altair goes the extra mile to help its employees manage the challenges of daily life to enable them to perform at their best: as employees, as family members, and as members of the larger metropolitan and global community.  A variety of worthy charitable causes are supported across the company.  In some cases, like the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, the relationship goes back over twenty years.  How did Altair get involved?  An employee was struck by the disease, and colleagues across the company have rallied ever since, riding tens of thousands of miles for Bike MS in Michigan and raising over one hundred thousand dollars across time.

Many employees at Altair have been here since the company was founded in 1985.  This is a testament to the array of career opportunities available here as well as quality of life.  Altair people behave with integrity, approach product design with integrity, and respect the integrity of their customers.  This culture empowers its people to solve some of the most intellectually stimulating problems faced in engineering today and have fun doing it.  The Detroit Free Press Top Workplaces Award, recognizing companies based upon employee feedback, is truly an honor and we are thrilled to receive it.
