While it is the end of the 2015 fundraising season for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, the excitement continues as we are proud to report the final numbers and sum up our season!
With individual fundraising, team fundraising, individual donors, and sponsor partners like LSG Insurance Partners and the Law Office of Leila Freijy, I am thrilled to announce we contributed $16,229 to the MS Society – Michigan Chapter this year. We surpassed our goal of $10,000!! With 38 event participants throughout the various events that were held – MS Walk, Golf, Bike, and the Muckfest, we had a truly outstanding season. Together, we helped the MS Society and their incredibly important work for another year.
Dana Forbes, a veteran Team Altairian, led the way this year by helping us raise $3,200 with an Employee Pet Calendar Contest in September. Altairians across the U.S. were able to submit their pet photos, vote for the winners, and purchase a calendar to support MS. It was a HUGE hit – everyone loved their calendars and had fun!
Earlier this fall, a few Team members participated in the last two events, the Bike MS: Great Lakes Bavarian Breakaway 2015 in historic Frankenmuth, MI and the Bike MS: Great Lakes Fall Breakaway 2015 which was in Island Lake State Park in Brighton. The weather was absolutely perfect for both events and everyone had a great time, as always. Broken chains and flat tires cannot bring this team down!
Team Altair and friends would like to send many thanks to all of our partners and sponsors who helped us throughout the year! I personally want to thank everyone on our team! They all did very well this year fundraising and volunteering their time!
If you would like to know more about this particular Team, follow us on Facebook or check out Altair’s community outreach page to find out more about the programs we proudly support! See you next year!
