I am taking the Altair bike on a journey! Follow me, and find out how it all began.
This entry documents my two major rides in May.

All-Time Distance to Date: 7,650 Miles And Counting.

Detroit Randonneur “200K West”

Date: April 25th, 2015

Location: Canton, MI

Weather: Cold. 38°F with 15mph Wind and Gust up to 17-20mph.

Road Condition: Bad. Bumpy.

Miles: 124 (200 km)

This was a ride organized by the Detroit Randonneur group with 42 cyclists participated in the journey, including solidThinking Senior Software Development Specialist, Christ Butler. I decided to take on this 200K challenge because I wanted to see how well I could perform when I’m sick. I was very proud of myself to be able to ride up very steep hills, like Country Club Rd.! My motivation kept me going and I rode to the finish line with the fastest group of 4! It was a good ride with a lot of young riders, and it definitely made my body and mind feel a lot better.

Double Metric Century to Lake Erie Metropark

Date: May 2nd, 2015

Location: West Bloomfield, MI

Weather: Great

Road Condition: Excellent – well paved trails

Miles: 126

Great news, I received the completed Altair jersey and bibs! It was a wonderful day to ride – Chris and I rode through four metro parks in the nice weather and well paved trails. We went southbound from West Bloomfield down to Lake Erie. A nice relaxing ride with a beautiful and rewarding view of the lake! I highly recommend this metro park – looking forward to coming back again.

The Specialized S-Works Venge was displayed at the 2015 Americas ATC from May 5th to May 7th in Dearborn, Michigan.
