Altair FEKO® Exhibition at 2014 EMC

This past August, Altair FEKO® sponsored The 2014 IEEE International Symposium on Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC 2014). The event was held August 4 – 7 in Raleigh, N.C. The conference attracted around 1,500 attendees and 100 exhibitors.

The EMC 2014 was sponsored by the IEEE Electromagnetic Compatibility Society, which is the world’s largest organization dedicated to the development and distribution of information, tools, and techniques for reducing electromagnetic interference. The EMC aims to create a platform for professionals across all industries and academia as an opportunity to learn, collaborate, and network. The conference enlightened attendees with new technologies that help professionals stay current on EMC testing and engineering.

Dr. C. J. Reddy and Dr. Martin Vogel presented a paper entitled On Numerical Modeling of EMC Problems for UAVs during a special session. Dr. Vogel also presented FEKO capabilities for EMC applications during a 30-minute product feature. His interview by Espresso Engineering may be viewed below:

About Gronum Smith

Gronum co-founded EM Software & Systems in 1994. In 2000, after several years of consulting in the field of antennas, antenna placement and EM simulations, he dedicated his time to global marketing and business development for FEKO. Since becoming part of Altair in 2014, he is the Country Manager for South Africa and Electromagnetics Marketing Director. Gronum holds a PhD in Electronic Engineering (Electromagnetics) from the University of Stellenbosch in South Africa.
