A symposium bringing together university researchers, professors, graduate students, and industry experts is being offered this Friday at Northwestern University, featuring an open discussion of computer-aided engineering (CAE) methods for simulation-driven design. Recent trends and advances in multidisciplinary design approaches have enabled interesting applications for architecture, vehicle design, and advanced materials. Dr. David Schmueser and Professor Wei Chen will open the symposium, followed by Dr. Ming Zhou, Altair’s Vice President of Software Development. Dr. Zhou will deliver a keynote entitled Topology Optimization – The Path to Most Efficient Structures Made by 3D-Printing. Check out the full agenda, and take a look at how Northwestern has integrated HyperWorks® into its engineering curriculum for teaching computational optimization.
