Featured Event: GEOINT 2015 Symposium

Altair is proud to sponsor the United States Geospatial Intelligence Foundation (USGIF) GEOINT 2015 Symposium in Washington, D.C. this week. GEOINT Symposium is an important event for the defense, intelligence, and homeland security communities, all major consumers of high-performance computing. This is Altair’s first year to exhibit at GEOINT, the largest gathering place for leaders, experts, and professionals in the intelligence industry, and we look forward to being there.

If you’re at GEOINT, be sure to stop by at booth #8148 throughout the event – we’ll be providing news on our 13.0 release of PBS Professional and offering daily drawings and giveaways.

In addition to our exhibit, Altair is participating in a multi-exhibitor demo on the show floor to showcase capabilities for multi-level security (MLS) environments. 12 other companies are participating, including Lockheed Martin, Cray, Seagate, SGI, ViON, RedHat and others.

So what is Altair’s role in this demo? We provide the critical workload management technology, PBS Professional, which supports job scheduling and management in an MLS environment via our SELinux support. PBS Professional is the only workload management product to offer this capability – so organizations who want to consolidate HPC environments with multiple security levels need PBS Professional. According to Lockheed Martin, “thanks to the new PBS Professional installation supporting cross-domain security, Lockheed Martin can now easily and securely manage HPC resources in real time across more than 20 different security levels and compartments.”
